Corralejo and Fuerteventura events in January 2027

New Year's Day is the quiet one, and the month's real date is the 5th, when the Cabalgata de Reyes comes through Corralejo and Epiphany is a holiday the next day. San Sebastián at La Oliva on the 20th is the other fixed fixture, with bonfires the evening before. No other January programme is published yet, so the island's weekly markets carry the rest of the month.

On Fuerteventura this month

Año Nuevo — Corralejo

Friday 1 January 2027 — a national public holiday

Corralejo, Fuerteventura

Why go: A Friday holiday in the year's quietest week: plan a beach day rather than a restaurant one, and save the town for the 5th.

Cabalgata de Reyes — Muelle Chico and the Avenida Nuestra Señora del Carmen, Corralejo

Tuesday 5 January 2027 (parade), with Epiphany on Wednesday 6 January a public holiday

Muelle Chico and the Avenida Nuestra Señora del Carmen, Corralejo; reception in La Oliva earlier the same day

Why go: The Canary Christmas ends with the Kings coming ashore at the Muelle Chico and riding up the Avenida: free, and the biggest family night of the winter.

San Sebastián — La Oliva historic centre and the Iglesia de Ntra. Sra. de la Candelaria

Wednesday 20 January 2027 (bonfires on the evening of Tuesday 19 January)

La Oliva historic centre and the Iglesia de Ntra. Sra. de la Candelaria, La Oliva

Why go: La Oliva's first fiesta of the year: bonfires through the old town on the 19th, the saint carried out of the Candelaria church on the 20th, 15 minutes inland from Corralejo.
