Spain Events - November 2026
November is the month Corralejo earns its calendar. The Kite Festival fills the Grandes Playas dunes with flyers and free family workshops, and the island's music and traditional-fixture season runs right through to the San Andrés bonfires at the end of the month.
Five of the eight entries are Fuerteventura fixtures; the other three are mainland film and performing-arts festivals. Three carry provisional wording because their 2026 dates are not yet confirmed by two independent sources — those are labelled, not dressed up as confirmed.

Festival Arena Negra 2026 — Gran Tarajal
6–7 November 2026
Playa de Gran Tarajal, Tuineje, Fuerteventura
Why go: two open-air nights on the sand with a deliberately cross-generational bill — the 2026 presentation names Luis Fonsi, Juan Magán, Rosana and Los Secretos among others. Big-name music on a beach is a Fuerteventura speciality, and this is the biggest of them.

Corralejo International Kite Festival (Kitefest) 2026 — 39th edition
9–15 November 2026
Grandes Playas and Playa del Dormidero, Corralejo, plus a day at El Cotillo (La Concha)
Why go: one of the world's benchmark kite festivals — hundreds of international flyers over the Corralejo dunes, free family kite-making workshops, and a closing day at El Cotillo. It is free, it is walkable from town, and it is the strongest single reason to book a November trip to Corralejo.

Fuerteventura Opera Festival — Rossini's La Cenerentola
19 and 21 November 2026, 20:00
Fuerteventura (venue to be confirmed)
Why go: a full staged opera on the island at €20 a seat — a genuinely accessible night at the opera for a beach holiday, in a season built around women creators. Two performances only, so book early.

Fiestas de Nuestra Señora de la Milagrosa — Lajares
Main day 27 November 2026 (the surrounding window is roughly 20–29 November — provisional)
Plaza de Lajares and the parish church, Lajares, La Oliva, Fuerteventura
Why go: Lajares' patron fiesta peaks on 27 November with a solemn mass and a procession of the Virgin through the village, wrapped in a craft market and nightly music. It is the north of the island at its most traditional.

Fiestas de San Andrés — Tetir and Piedra Hincada
Main day 30 November 2026 (the surrounding multi-day programme is provisional)
Tetir (Puerto del Rosario) and Piedra Hincada (Tuineje), Fuerteventura
Why go: the Canarian San Andrés rituals done properly — a torch-lit bonfire night with roasted chestnuts and the year's new wine, plus a decorated-cart romería offering. Two villages, two different takes on the same tradition.

Why go: Andalusia's flagship film festival — nine days of premieres across four of Seville's best cinemas, with an industry strand adding masterclasses and extra screenings.

Autumn Festival 2026 — Community of Madrid

Teatros del Canal, Conde Duque, Teatro de la Abadía and venues across Madrid
Why go: Spain's leading performing-arts festival, founded in 1984 and now in its 44th edition — a deliberately international mosaic of theatre, dance and music with a heavy Latin-American accent, staged in the city's best venues.

ZINEBI 2026 — 68th Bilbao International Festival of Documentary and Short Film
20–27 November 2026
Arriaga Theatre and venues across Bilbao, Bizkaia
Why go: Spain's oldest documentary and short-film festival, running since 1959, with the Mikeldi awards handed out at the Arriaga. A genuine reason to slot a Bilbao stop into a Spanish itinerary.
